Too much hype…
… the perfect backfiring recipe!

Who would expect anything from these old good lads in the 80ies? Remember, Mick Jagger was just coming out from his “dancing in the streets” fit, real dark times indeed.
As most purist will tell you, the Rolling Stones major contribution to music history are the first four albums, then, it’s just some random track there and there. Well, those random tracks, that’s what we deal with, the obscure unexpected hits that never were. Actually, let’s settle with calling those were-hits, the under the radar songs that transform into genius monster tunes under the full moon of some good DJ’s skill. Too Much Blood is a perfect example of that kinda beast.
Under Arthur “Planet Rock” Baker’s spell, the Stones let some unexpected demons loose on the dancefloor, ones that sadly didn’t manage to wreak enough havoc back then to set a new pattern in their career. On second thought, just listen to the shit and imagine this being played as loud as it gets in a fucking stadium! Pretty scary, huh?

Well, your gain, I say. because 2011, you can either just enjoy it by yourself or brag about this newly acquired knowledge to make people wanna hang out with you, the closet music nerd. If you wanna go that route, let me add some extra silver bullets for you, in the form of name dropping the Latin Rascals, the 80ies best “edit-ers” (along Mantronix and Chep Nunez) who totally killed it with this song. Crazy tight breaks throughout, like a stream of snares, cowbells and high hats.
Oh, and you can also either enjoy the awesome cover art at the shop or furthermore even buy it there, how you like ‘em apples, eh?
